Kelly Rivard, LL.B, CFP, TEP

Kelly has practised in the areas of litigation, family law and estate planning at a law firm until joining a major trust company in 1996, where she worked in a variety of roles involving estate administration and planning. Kelly joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2003.

Kelly received her Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation in 1998 and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) as well as the Law Society of Upper Canada. She has completed Parts I and II of the CICA in-depth tax course.

Kelly's significant practical experience in the estate planning and administration field, coupled with her financial planning expertise, allows her to offer guidance on both the tax and personal implications of your estate plan.
 
 

Robyn Solnik, LL.B, TEP
Vice President, Business Owner Specialist & High Net Worth Planning Services

Robyn joined RBC in 2011, assisting clients with their overall tax and estate planning, and in 2011, assumed her present position, specializing in assisting high-net-worth clients with their succession, tax, retirement and estate planning. Prior to joining RBC, Robyn acquired her expertise in both private practice and with a major trust company, practicing law in Toronto for 8 years as a will and estate consultant for a well-known Canadian trust company.

Robyn obtained her law degree from Osgoode Hall in 1991, and she was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1993. She has completed her in-depth tax courses, levels 1 and 2, as well as the Advanced Tax Issues for the Owner Managed Business Course and the Corporate Reorganizations Course. She has co-authored two books, "Drafting Wills in Ontario: A Lawyers Practical Guide" and "Drafting Wills in Canada: A Lawyers Practical Guide".

 

Janice Walsh, CPA, CA, CFP, TEP
Financial Planning Specialist

Janice is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Business Administration at Wilfrid Laurier University. Janice also holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations.
Janice has held various positions in the insurance and financial services industry. Her professional experience includes providing tax, trust, estate, retirement and financial planning services to high net worth clients and their advisors. Janice joined RBC in 2005.
 
 

Chris Machan, CFP, FMA, FCSI
Financial Planning Consultant

Chris graduated with a Business Management Financial Services diploma prior to joining the financial services industry in 2003. He has also successfully achieved the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Financial Management Advisor (FMA), as well as Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).
Prior to joining RBC Dominion Securities, Chris worked as a Banking Officer with a Canadian chartered bank as well as a Financial Advisor with a large wealth management firm. His experience includes providing financial planning services to clients, including credit, investment, retirement planning, tax planning and estate planning advice.
