Inspiring Women

On Thursday, September 13, 2012 Amanda Knapp received the Inspiring Woman Award at the Inspiring Women Event. The one-day event is for professional women, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who want to connect, learn and grow.

Amanda was recognized for her amazing contributions in the community, and for her continual giving and selfless spirit. She is a role model for others and this served as an excellent forum to recognize her accomplishments. The Record profiled Amanda's win and provided some background on her award.

Letter from David Agnew, CEO

It is my pleasure to congratulate Amanda Knapp, Investment Advisor in our Waterloo RBC Dominion Securities branch, who was presented with the 2012 Inspiring Woman Award at the 6th annual Inspiring Women event yesterday.

The Inspiring Woman Award recognizes one woman in Kitchener-Waterloo who has achieved success in her chosen field, who has made a contribution to her community and society as a whole, and who is a positive role model for generations to follow. Amanda certainly exemplifies each of these criteria, and much, much more.

This honour is formal recognition of the professionalism and integrity with which Amanda manages portfolios and the long-term goals of her clients. Her principles fully reflect our firm's practice of always putting our clients first.

It also celebrates her leadership amongst colleagues and in the community. Amanda is extremely active in KW, including her work with the United Way (having created the inaugural Women's Giving Circle for United Way KW), with Kidsability, OTIP Community Fund, the Betty Thompson Golf Classic, the Canadian Cancer Society, as well as Free the Children. Amanda also started the WOW (Women of Waterloo Region) event in 2009 to recognize women in the community who are doing extraordinary things.

On behalf of RBC Wealth Management Canada, I would like to express our pride in Amanda, and salute her for her dedication to her family, her clients, her colleagues and her community.

Please join me in congratulating Amanda on this well-deserved honour.

Sincerely,

David Agnew
