Senior Investment Advisor & Portfolio Manager
An established business leader backed by the strength of RBC, Alan O’Hanlon began his career in 1990. Having honed his financial expertise and developed his client-first mindset as a financial advisor as well as a financial planning specialist at major Canadian financial institutions, Alan joined RBC Dominion Securities and founded O’Hanlon Wealth Management in 2006. In the ensuing years, Alan mastered the art and science of stock selection and solidified his reputation as a hardworking steward of wealth who works relentlessly to bring peace of mind and convenience to his clients. As a Senior Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager, Alan leverages the expertise of his accomplished team, his close partnerships with experts at RBC Family Office Services group, and integrates professionals in his clients’ existing networks to capitalize on their unique opportunities, address their specific needs, and maximize their wealth. “My goal now is the same as it was back in 1990: to make an enduring positive impact on the financial lifestyles and legacies of my clients,” says Alan. In addition to more than three decades of experience, Alan’s investment advice is supported by top-tier industry credentials, including the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations. Alan also holds a degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Toronto. Alan’s commitment to the betterment of those around him extends beyond his clients to his broader community, be it supporting women in wealth or contributing to a better tomorrow for all Canadians through charitable endeavours. When he’s not working hard for his clients or finding ways to give back, he likes to unwind with his wife, Dagmar, and spend quality time with their two children.
Maximizing our clients’ wealth requires not only advanced credentials but also an innovative mindset. Hence, our team comprises a diverse group of specialized high achievers who each bring a unique point of view but share O’Hanlon Wealth Management’s core driving belief: always put our clients first.
