As an Investment Counsellor with RBC PH&N Investment Counsel, Alan brings over 15 years of industry experience to help answer questions that high net- worth individuals and families face such as ‘What do we do next?’ and ‘Will we be okay?’ when they are dealing with important life milestones such as preparing for retirement, business succession and wealth transition.
Working with a small number of clients enables Alan to build relationships that go beyond the risk and return financial aspects of pure investment management. He takes time to truly get to know his clients in order to provide a full wealth management solution that ensures that portfolio decisions align with the other critical aspects of their financial picture such as tax minimization, large stock positions or complex lending structures.
In order to deliver a comprehensive wealth management solution, Alan engages in-house tax, estate and financial planning specialists from across RBC, banking partners, and collaborates with clients’ other professional advisors to design and implement strategies that will help create lifelong financial success.
Alan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business. Originally from the greater Vancouver area, he has called Calgary his home since 2004 with his wife and two children.
