Will and Estate Consultant
Catherine Nicholls is an in-house lawyer who acts as a will and estate consultant for our clients. When requested by our clients, Catherine reviews our clients' wills and powers of attorney for personal care and property, meets with them to discuss their circumstances and estate planning objectives, and prepares a detailed report with recommendations.
Catherine received her Law Degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1978 and has been a member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1980. She was a partner in a small law firm and primarily practiced law in the areas of residential real estate, Will and estate planning and estate administration.
She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Estate Planning Council of Niagara and the Niagara In House Legal Council Group.

Financial Planning Specialist
Over the last 3 years, Grant has been providing support on tax, legal, estate and retirement planning strategies for advisors at RBC. Grant has 20 years of progressive experience in various roles within the financial services field, including 14 years with RBC. Grant attended Concordia University in Montreal where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He holds three financial planning designations, a specialist designation from the Trust institute, and is working towards his TEP designation with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Grant has written several articles on these subjects which are part of the firm's library of financial planning content available to our clients. He also provides support to the Financial Planners Standards Council of Canada as a subject matter expert and has been teaching retirement and estate planning at George Brown College in Toronto
