The ARTS Project held their 14th Annual Artrageous Tech.0 event on October 12th to raise funds for their Emerging Artists Studio Program.  This program provides studio space, a solo exhibition, mentorship and promotional support as well as materials for 12 months for recent arts graduates.

RBC was there to support the creative artists in our community.  In addition to being the lead sponsor for the event, RBC announced a 2 year $28,780 donation to support the Emerging Artists Studio Program and London's emerging artist community.



RBC Heels 2 Heal - Walk a Mile in HER Shoes

We are MAN enough!  Our 'RBC Heels 2 Heal' team proudly came together on September 30th participating in the "Walk a Mile in HER Shoes" event!

Our male employees exchanged their sneakers for a pair of RED PUMPS and walked the perimeter of Victoria Park in the annual men's march to prevent sexualized violence.

We raised $5720 for anova (formerly Women's Community House).  The funds will be distributed to the many women's shelters and women's emergency services who serve our community.


Making our Coffee Count!

Here at RBC Dominion Securities, we are devoted to supporting the Alzheimer Society of London Middlesex.

We joined them in their COFFEE BREAK fundraising campaign.  On September 29th, 2017, in celebration of National Coffee Day, we took a COFFEE BREAK and enjoyed a fresh cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate generously provided to us by The Daily Planet Café.

Our branch was able to raise an impressive $900 during our coffee break!

The Alzheimer Society of London Middlesex supports over 8800 individuals, as well as their families and caregivers in our community.  They offer programs and services of support for those families and individuals living with dementia.




Supporting United Way - Harvest Lunch

As a strong supporter of the United Way, we kicked off their fall campaign with our favourite tradition - the United Way 3M Harvest Lunch!

For over 10 years we have been taking pleasure in joining our community for the deli-inspired lunch.  It is a fun event to enjoy good food and fantastic entertainment while supporting a great cause.


Backpacks for Children

As the first day of school was approaching, a local back-to-school program found themselves in need of backpacks and lunch bags for those children in need.

In just 3 days, Associate, Jennifer Squires, was able to achieve an impressive collection of backpacks and lunch bags for the Women's Rural Resource Centre in Strathroy.  Our branch came together with donations and financial support to ensure the children were fully equipped for their first day of school.


DS Collects for the London Food Bank

As a proud partner with Food Banks Canada, RBC Dominion Securities hosted a canned vegetable food drive!

Our food drive collected an impressive 163 cans, weighing in at 211 pounds of food, as well as a donation of $5000 In support of our local London Food Bank's healthy diet food hampers.



RBC Runs with Pride

Together with The Running Room, RBC Dominion Securities hosts the first RBC Run with Pride to kick off the 2017 London Pride Festival.


Our inaugural event inspired over 175 participants to take part in our 1km or 5km run at Wonderland Gardens on July 23rd, 2017. Mayor Matt Brown spoke in support of Pride within our London community.


RBC Run with Pride commenced with the presentation of our enormous rainbow flag, carried over to our starting area and the 1km was soon under way - the first to cross the finish line was Bennett Thomas, age 9 and son of Jessica Thomas, Assistant Branch Manager. Jonathan Somerville, Investment Advisor for RBC Dominion Securities, London was the first to cross the finish line for the 5km run.

RBC Proudly Sponsors Children's Health Foundation - 28 years and Counting!

RBC is extremely proud to sponsor and support the 28th Annual Children's Hospital Golf Classic! This year's event raised an overwhelming donation amount of $360,000 net, of which all proceeds go 100% to the local Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario.

Several RBC employees are part of the organizing committee and RBC has been the title sponsor for this Golf Classic since it began, 28 years ago. The total raised to date is now at an incredible $4.5 million, a huge number for a community the size of London.

DS Volunteers at Cedar Row Farm Sanctuary

Associate Advisor, Allison Blackshaw, is the proud sponsor of ‘Pearl’ the pig at Cedar Row Farm Sanctuary.  Pearl, along with her farm animal friends have been given a peaceful, comfortable, loving place to socialize with each other and live happy and healthy lives. The sole purpose of the Farm is to take in farm animals that have suffered abuse, have been rescued from slaughter, or are simply unwanted. 

Cedar Row Farm Sanctuary is a family run farm near Stratford that is completely funded by donations and animal sponsorships.  Allison and a team of Dominion Securities employees were proud to volunteer their time to help clean the animals' homes, wash out their dishes, groom them and feed them.





Proud to Sponsor Walk for Alzheimer's

On May 13, 2017 the Alzheimer Society for London and Middlesex County held their annual Walk for Alzheimer's with over 850 people participating, in support of raising funds for local programs and services to support families and individuals living with dementia.

In addition to our sponsorship, RBC Dominion Securities were there volunteering their time at our DS Rest Stop - handing out water, freezies and huge hugs from RBC's Leo the Lion!



Pleased to Support Ronald McDonald Community House

RBC ‘Day of Service Grant’ Project … April 25th, 2017

Our DS London team volunteered their time and helped with a financial donation to provide the many families at the Ronald McDonald House with a movie & craft night!



Celebrating International Women's Day

We hosted our first ”Looking Good, Feeling Good and RBC is Doing Some Good” event and donated $5000 in support of the Women’s Community House in London!

Our branch collected an over whelming amount of nice, clean, gently used women’s clothing, accessories and shoes in support of "Mine 101" – a second-hand shop opened by Women’s Community House.  Our special guest speakers Heather Austin, RBC Regional Vice President, London - Lambton, London Chief of Police, John Pare along with London Police Service, Jennifer Noel and a musical performance by Jean Meilleur of Women's Community House.

We are looking forward to continuing our support in the "Walk A Mile in Her Shoes" coming this September 30th to London!
