Emilie Jean-Baptiste

Will & Estate Consultant, RBC Wealth Management Services

Émilie obtained her Bachelor of Law degree in 2006 and her Notarial Law degree in 2008 from l’Université de Montréal Faculty of Law.

Prior to joining RBC, Émilie was a Notary in private practice and since 2010, she was a Will and Estate Advisor for RBC Estate & Trust Services. In that role, she worked with clients and their families to develop multi-generational estate plans. Through this process, she helped families to elaborate their estate plan objectives and to ensure the protection of their patrimony.

Émilie is currently completing a specialized graduate diploma in taxation with HEC Montréal and she is an active member of La Chambre des notaires du Québec.


Michel Bétournay

Financial Planning Specialist

Michel Bétournay, Financial Planner, obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (major in accounting) from HEC Montréal in 1991, and earned the Financial Planner designation from the Quebec Institute of Financial Planners (IQPF) in 2002.

Michel joined RBC Financial Group in 1993, and has seven years' experience as a Financial Planner, five of which were spent with the Compass Financial Planning team.

Michel's role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans for clients.


Audrey Lapointe

Chief Trust Advisor, RBC Estate and Trust

A graduate of the Université du Québec à Montréal with a degree in law, she went on to obtain her D.D.N. (Notarial law diploma) at the Université de Sherbrooke. Audrey has continued to deepen her knowledge and expertise and most recently earned her Master of Taxation. She is also working towards becoming a member of the Canadian chapter of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Audrey works with individuals, families, and businesses to provide customized estate, trust and incapacity solutions. Whether it is helping someone to settle an estate, establishing a trust to ensure the successful transfer of family assets, or arranging to assist with the administration and responsibilities for a Protection Mandate, Audrey can help.

Audrey brings to each client the necessary skill set to provide both the technical expertise as well as the genuine understanding of the emotional complexities that underlie these issues.

Daniel C. Duchesne

Financial Security Advisor

Daniel is a valuable member of your advisor’s team, helping you create, preserve and increase your wealth by incorporating insurance solutions into your comprehensive financial plan. He began his career in the insurance industry in 1993 and is an expert in the field of insurance having spent his career utilizing insurance products to help clients achieve their wealth management objectives as well as their financial and estate planning goals.

Daniel has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Laval University and has earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Financial Planner (Fin.Pl.) designations. He is a member of APFF (Association de planification financière et fiscale du Québec) and IQPF (Institut Québécois de planification financière), and is pursuing a Specialized Graduate Diploma (D.E.S.S) in taxation at HEC de Montréal.
