Travis started his career in finance in 2013 after graduating with distinction from the University of Toronto, with majors in economics and political science. After a successful posting at a large Canadian investment management firm, he returned to academia at Western University and the Ivey Business School where he obtained a Master’s degree in economics.
He is a published academic author whose work spans the fields of economics, finance and ESG. He has also obtained his CFA charter—widely regarded as the “gold standard” in the field of investment management—and is an active member of the Toronto CFA Society.
Since joining RBC, Travis has consistently been recognized as a top performer—earning the prestigious National Rookie of the Year award and multiple RBC Convention awards. He was also selected to join the Investment and Retirement Planning regional advisory board for GTR where he served two consecutive terms.
Travis’ wealth management practice caters to tech founders, corporate executives, foundations, and High-Net-Worth individuals. Leveraging a team of experts in tax planning, estate planning, and financial planning he aims to guide clients using a “family office” approach—streamlining clients’ financial affairs to ensure they can spend more time focusing on their passions.
Travis lives in Whitby, Ontario with his son James and his wife Nadine. In his spare time he enjoys travelling, tennis, golf, and scuba diving.
