As a licensed Portfolio Manager with RBC Dominion Securities, Stu brings over 30 years of experience in the investment industry. His in-depth planning approach, combined with discretionary investment management, provides his clients with highly comprehensive solutions to help meet their unique goals and objectives.
In addition to holding his Portfolio Manager license, Stu has been a perennial member of the firm’s Chairman’s and Executive Councils throughout his career. Managing one of the largest asset bases in Canada for RBC Dominion Securities, he takes a strong financial planning approach with each individual client.
This process involves both uncovering and addressing current and future goals and objectives prior to developing the proper investment plan. His knowledge and experience provides his clients with a consistent, disciplined approach to managing money.
Stu is a native of Vancouver. He attended Michigan Tech on an athletic scholarship, where he graduated with Honors in Business Administration. Stu began his career as an Investment Advisor in 1981 with Pemberton Securities, which was subsequently acquired by RBC Dominion Securities in 1989.
Stu holds his FCSI (Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute) and CIM (Canadian Investment Management) designations as well as securities registrations in both the U.S. and Canada. As part of the RBC Dominion Securities group, Stu is supported by an extensive team of experts, including a Regional Insurance consultant, as well as Will & Estate and Tax Planning specialists.
In his spare time, Stu enjoys hockey and fitness in addition to his long-time hobby of aviation where he competes in aerobatics.
