By building your personalized, long-term financial plan – and overseeing your investment portfolio’s design and composition – Sean will help you feel confident in your financial future.

Sean’s specialty is tax-efficient, income-generating stock and bond portfolios – ideal for clients approaching or enjoying retirement, or who want a portfolio with the power to fund their lifestyle. He is a proponent of Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) and often works with his clients to make sure the companies they invest in align with their core values.

Sean has been studying and participating in financial markets for the past 15 years, and has spent the last five years serving high-net-worth investors and their families. Prior to moving to RBC Dominion Securities in 2017, he worked with a large wealth management team at another bank-owned brokerage firm, where he specialized in helping medical professionals, small business, and high-net-worth clients.

Sean graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science degree in a combined major of financial mathematics and economics. He has achieved both the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designations though the Canadian Securities Institute. Both these designations helped him build the skills required to serve more sophisticated financial clients with complex needs. Sean is well-equipped to implement advanced investment and financial planning strategies, and evaluate portfolio performance. With his expertise, financial planning experience and dedication to exceptional service, you can live life with financial peace of mind.

Sean is an islander, born in Nanaimo and raised Parksville. In his free time, he enjoys road cycling, hiking in Strathcona Provincial Park and kayaking around the gulf islands. Sean is also a black belt practitioner of a Japanese sword martial art called Iaido, an ancient Samurai training art based on discipline and self-awareness.

When Sean is not working or training, he enjoys volunteering for the Rotary Club of Nanaimo, Junior Achievement, Young Professionals of Oceanside, the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce, the Royal Canadian Legion, and many other causes in the community. Sean lives in Parksville with his wife, Taleah, their daughter, Olivia, and the family cats.
