As a Business Owner Specialist, High Net Worth Planning Services, Coady, together with your primary RBC advisor, helps you explore succession, tax, retirement and estate planning issues you face as a business owner.
In addition to providing planning assistance to business owners (including incorporated professionals), Coady provides planning assistance to executives, retirees and individuals with U.S. issues. He also assists individuals facing significant financial events (for example, sale of business, financial windfall, retirement, severing residential ties with Canada, etc.).
For more than 20 years, Coady has assisted high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families with their complex planning needs. Coady is a tax lawyer, and he has occupied his current planning role at RBC since 2008. In providing planning information to clients, Coady frequently communicates with their external professional advisors.
Coady’s educational background includes a law degree from Dalhousie University as well as the completion of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada’s) In-Depth Tax Course (Levels I, II and III) and the CPA Canada’s Tax Issues for the Owner- Managed Business Course. He is a member of both the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta Branch (South)) Tax Specialist Section. Also, Coady was called to the Bar in Alberta and Ontario. Further, in addition to his finance degree from Bishop’s University and the completion of the Canadian Securities Course, Coady is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Faisal Jamal, CPA, CA

Faisal specializes in tax and estate planning for high net worth families.
Prior to joining RBC, Faisal was a tax senior manager with a mid-size accounting and advisory firm, as well as with a multi-national accounting firm. Faisal’s expertise includes tax and estate planning for high net worth individuals and families, professionals, and business owners.
Faisal is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and his educational background includes the completion of the CICA’s in-depth tax course (Level I, II and III), a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Victoria, and a Masters of Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan. He is also a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.

As a Private Banker with RBC Wealth Management, Private Banking, Nicole York-Joly provides comprehensive wealth management and financing strategies to high-net-worth business owners, executives, professionals and their families in the Edmonton area.
Ms. York-Joly has been in financial services for 24 years. Prior to joining Private Banking, she was a Financial Planner with RBC Royal Bank, and worked closely with her clients in Sherwood Park to assist them in comprehensively addressing their financial affairs.
In her role as Private Banker, Ms. York-Joly now provides seamless banking and financial solutions for clients with often-complex banking and credit needs. As needed, she partners with specialists from across RBC to provide a complete range of complementary services, from investment management to estate and philanthropic strategies, domestic and international trust services.
Ms. York-Joly holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, as well as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute, which gives her insight into the ongoing needs of her clients - both from a planning and taxation perspective.
Ms. York-Joly grew up in Edmonton and Fort McMurray. She is active outside of the office, and takes part with both the Alberta Cerebral Palsy Association and the Terry Fox Foundation. She keeps busy outside of the office with gardening, running, reading and cross-country skiing. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and 2 dogs.
Yolanda Cheung brings more than 20 years of extensive banking and wealth management experience to RBC Wealth Management, Private Banking. As a private banker, Yolanda Cheung provides comprehensive wealth management and financial planning strategies to high-net-worth business owners, executives, professionals, and their families.
Based in Edmonton, Yolanda works with a select number of clients in the Edmonton Region to address their often-complex banking, credit and wealth management needs through customized banking and financial solutions. Yolanda's goal is to deliver unparalleled service while building lasting relationships based on a thorough understanding of each client's unique needs and goals.
When necessary, Yolanda collaborates with specialists across RBC to provide clients with a complete range of complementing services. Family Office Services
Bryn Bezaire graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.A. in 2002 and with a Bachelor of Laws in 2005. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2006.
Early in her career Bryn briefly practiced family law, but for the 14 years prior to joining RBC, she practiced exclusively in the areas of Wills, estate planning, incapacity planning, estate probate, estate administration, and trusts. Her practice included advising on high net worth estates, cross border estates, and tax matters relating to estate planning, as well as making various court applications including passing of accounts, validation and rectification, and Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship matters. The majority of her Wills and estates practice took place at a boutique Wills and estates law firm and later at a mid-sized full service law firm.
Bryn has spoken at many public and private seminars on the importance of proper estate planning, including planning for incapacity and succession. For many years she was a regular speaker during Edmonton Wills Week, sponsored by the Edmonton Community Foundation.
Maggie is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant. She holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to joining RBC, Maggie was employed as an international tax manager at one of the leading accounting firms where she specialized in Canadian, U.S. and cross-border personal income taxation providing tax planning and preparation services to a variety of clients. As a Financial Planning Specialist, Maggie’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting your Compass Financial Plan and to identify and assess any related financial and tax planning concerns you might have.

Ming has been in the insurance industry for 20 years. He has spent a majority of his career working in a variety of roles at another insurance company and MGA, all of which have allowed him to develop a solid understanding of both individual and group insurance products.
Prior to coming onboard to RBC as Senior Group Benefits Specialist, Ming has worked as Trainer and Group Benefits Account Executive with Sun Life for 10 years. During his time at Sun Life, Ming was regarded highly by his advisors for his professionalism, care, and sincere client centric attitude.
Ming graduated from The University of Ottawa with a double major in Marketing/Advertising and Human Resources, and a minor in Management Information Systems. He is an avid runner and has a goal of running a marathon each year in a different country.

Rachel is a Risk Assessment Insurance Specialist with 25 years of industry experience. She is dedicated to helping clients protect and preserve their wealth, possessions and lifestyle. Rachel started her career at Abbey Insurance Brokers in Northern Ireland where she held numerous roles from administrative assistant to assistant manager.
In 2013, Rachel moved to Canada after the recession in search of a better life. She settled in Edmonton, Alberta with her husband where she fell back into the insurance industry. During this time she rediscovered her passion for insurance and helping clients protect what matters most to them – their lifestyle. Prior to joining RBC, Rachel had the opportunity to work at CMB Insurance. In her role, she was responsible for building their VIP personal lines book of business.
Along with a diploma in Management, Rachel is currently working towards her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation. When not taking care of clients, you may find Rachel travelling, reading, cooking, watching Netflix, attending concerts and festivals, or skiing with her husband and daughter in Jasper.
