What will a Biden administration mean for Canada?

President-elect Joe Biden will likely have to work with a Republican-controlled Senate when his administration takes over early next year, although runoff elections in Georgia in January could still deliver a majority to the Democrats. The extent to which the Democrats control Congress will help determine how much of the Biden administration’s agenda can be implemented, at least with-out compromise. In the meantime, the Biden camp has begun rolling out its early policy plans.

How Joe Biden’s U.S. presidential election win may impact Canadian taxpayers

The 2020 U.S. presidential election was held on November 3 and due to an unprecedented voter turn-out, including those who submitted their ballots early and by mail, it took several days before Joe Biden emerged as the projected winner to become the 46th President of the United States. While the Democrats will maintain control of the House of Representatives, it is not yet clear, which party will ultimately control the Senate.
