As many of you know, our team volunteers at the Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) Perking Lot (coffee shop) every Friday morning from 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. We have one opening on our volunteer team that we would be delighted to fill with a client or trusted partner. We see it as a great opportunity to spend some time with you and help make a difference together. The commitment would be for one Friday per month, during which you will join one of our team members as we brew up some delicious coffees for the frontline staff at KGH and their visitors.
Every week, the KGH Foundation relies on hundreds of hospital volunteers to staff their four non-profit businesses. Each 4-hour shift equates to contributing approximately $84, and over $1 million in total donations per year. But beyond the numbers, volunteering is good for the soul.
