Murray Shapiro, BA, LL.B, TEP

Murray has been providing advice and technical support in relation to high-net-worth family wealth planning since 1994. Conversations include scenarios to be aware of in transitioning, including the costs of transitioning, your assets to your intended heirs. Additional areas of concern may include tax, asset preservation and philanthropic planning.
Murray’s expertise encompasses both domestic and international family circumstances, and in many cases is focused on the challenges of transitioning a family business. His guidance supports clients in their relationships with their external professional advisors, with whom he frequently interacts.
Before joining RBC’s Canadian Wealth Management Services team in 2008, Murray worked with RBC’s Global Private Banking group as the senior resource in their global trust business for over 13 years.
Prior to joining RBC, Murray practised law for six years in the areas of estate and tax planning, as well as various areas of business law.
Murray was a Director of STEP Canada (Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners) from its inception until 2009, and has been a member of the International Tax Planning Association and the Canadian Tax Foundation over the years. He has been a featured speaker at Estate Planning Councils, Law Society and STEP practitioner education conferences in Canada and abroad.
Will and Estate Consultant
Mary obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario in 1983. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1985.
Following her call to the Bar, Mary was in private practice for 24 years, specializing in the areas of will and estate planning, estate administration, real estate and corporate law. Since 2011, she has worked exclusively in the areas of will and estate planning with a major trust company and a bank. Mary joined RBC Wealth Management in October 2016.
Mary is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Middlesex Law Association.
Financial Planning Specialist
Albert attended the University of Waterloo where he completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Science and Business and a Masters of Accounting degree. He is a Chartered Accountant and spent eleven years with a large public accounting firm where he rose to the position of Senior Tax Manager. Prior to joining RBC, Albert was focused on providing professional services to an array of clients, from individuals and their owner-managed businesses to publicly owned entities.
Albert is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and has completed as well as tutored the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants’ In-Depth Tax Courses.
Albert believes that planning is critical to helping people meet their financial objectives. As a Financial Planning Specialist at RBC Wealth Management Services, Albert’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans for clients.

Her key focus is a client centered approach and to maintain high standards of client service and value added advice. When necessary, she can access specialists from across RBC to work collaboratively to provide a complete range of complementary services.
Carly offers an extensive background in client relationship. She is a high performing individual with a wealth of knowledge and a high level financial service and sales experience. She is a dedicated banking professional with 26 years in the financial services industry, working in a variety of roles that include Re-tail Banking, Business Banking, Healthcare Specialist, and Cash Management. She has spent the last 10 years as a RBC Financial Advisor where she was also the dedicated in-house retail representative for RBC Dominion Securities in Windsor.

Susan has continued to deepen her knowledge and expertise with key industry designations such as Member, Trust Institute (MTI) and Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designations. /p>
