Danny works with clients to develop customized plans that meet their specific needs. From the initial discovery in the first meeting to execution of the strategy, he brings in the expert resources of RBC Wealth Management to create a holistic plan for each client that encompasses Financial, Tax, Estate and Insurance planning, in addition to cutting edge investment management capabilities.
Danny graduated from McGill University in 1994. After 6 years of business experience in different industries, he joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2000, when he obtained his licensing as both an Investment Advisor and Financial Security Advisor (Insurance). In 2006, he obtained his license as a Portfolio Manager, to offer clients Discretionary Portfolio Management services. In 2007, he earned The Fellow of CSI (FCSI®) designation, the highest honor in Canadian financial services reserved for financial professionals who demonstrate unparalleled leadership, integrity, commitment and dedication to their clients and industry. In 2015, he earned the title of Wealth Advisor, for providing wealth management advice beyond just investments. In 2017, he was appointed Vice President, reflecting his high level of commitment and service to both his clients, and to RBC. In November 2020, he became the Principal when his Business Partner of 20 years, Allen Quallenberg, officially retired.
Family and Community involvement serve as the cornerstones in Danny’s life. He has been married to Marcy since 1996 and is Father to David (19) and Carly (15). He was one of the top fundraisers in the country for the MS Society of Canada between 2005 and 2010. He has been involved with the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre since 2001; serving on the Board of Directors since 2006 and as a member of the Executive since 2008. He has served as the Co-Chair of the Donald Berman Maimonides RBC Wealth Management Golf Tournament since 2008, and as President of both the Donald Berman Maimonides and the Jewish Hospital of Hope Eldercare Foundations from 2015 to 2017. From 2008 to 2011, he served as a Board Member and then Vice-President at Congregation Beth Tikvah Ahavat Shalom Nusach Hoari, rejoining the Board of Directors in November 2020.
Danny enjoys travelling with his family, attending hockey games with his son, and playing videogames with both his son and daughter. To keep life interesting at age 47, he successfully competed in his first Powerlifting competition (as the oldest competitor) in August 2017, and plans to do so again in the future. His wife says that he has an unnatural affinity for useless pop culture trivia, Star Trek and Batman related collectibles.
