Being an executor is not easy, and different skill sets are required to complete the many tasks involved.

There is help available, but many people don’t know professionals can be appointed instead of a family member or a friend. A recent survey by RBC Royal Trust found that more than 54 percent of Canadians don’t know that a professional executor can be hired to settle an estate.
