Grant attended Concordia University in Montreal where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1992. He holds three financial planning designations, a Specialist designation from the Trust Institute, and is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Grant has completed the in-depth tax program with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (Levels I, II and III).
Grant has over 25 years of progressive experience in various roles within the financial services field. In addition to his work with RBC Wealth Management, he is currently teaching Tax and Estate Planning courses for the Institut Québecois de Planification Financière to support the continuing education requirements of financial planners in the province of Quebec. Grant has also provided support to the Financial Planners Standards Council of Canada as a subject matter expert and has taught financial planning courses at George Brown College in Toronto.
Joseph graduated from Carleton University in 1988 and from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 1991. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1993.
He is an Associate Member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a Member of the Carleton County Law Association.
Prior to joining RBC, he practised estate planning in private practice and served as Will & Estate Consultant with Royal Trust Corporation.
He was an instructor for the Ontario Bar Admission Course in Estate Planning and Administration and has been an instructor at the University of Ottawa Law School since 2003 teaching the Will & Estate course.
As a Senior Trust Advisor, Leslie Frederick serves clients throughout the Greater Ottawa Region. Leslie develops lasting client relationships and earns their trust by focusing on delivering timely, quality service and advice.
A graduate of McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, Leslie has continued to deepen her knowledge and expertise with key industry designations such as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designations. Leslie has completed the Canadian Securities Course and is the President of the Ottawa Estate Planning Council.
Leslie’s focus and expertise in estate, trust and power of attorney administration, taxation, trust law and investments has helped her manage complex personal and family dynamics. She works with individuals, families, and businesses to provide customized estate, trust and incapacity solutions. Whether it is helping someone to settle an estate, establishing a trust to ensure the successful transfer of family assets, or arranging to assist with the administration and responsibilities for a Power of Attorney, Leslie can help.
