Tim began his career in the financial services industry in 1992. He has built a reputation as a capable advisor, mentor, trainer and knowledgeable estate planning and insurance professional. In collaboration with your trusted advisors, Tim follows a proven process featuring a customized, client-centric, goals-based approach to create, protect, enhance and transfer wealth.
In addition to a bachelor's degree in political science and an MBA, Tim is also a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Life Underwriter and a Certified Health Insurance Specialist.
Tim has called Vancouver Island home since 1980 and settled in Victoria, B.C., in 1985, where he enjoys the west coast lifestyle with his wife, two sons, extended family and friends. Tim coaches youth soccer, is an avid cyclist and loves to walk his dog Sam.
Grace received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia in 2000 and graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 2003.
She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2004. Prior to joining RBC, Grace practised law in Vancouver, specializing in estate planning and estate administration. Most recently, Grace worked at a hospital foundation advising the charity on legal matters as well as its donors on charitable giving.
Grace is a member of the Canadian Bar Association Wills and Trusts Section and Charities Section. She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
Prior to joining RBC, Darren was a tax partner with a national accounting and advisory firm where he focused on providing tax planning services to high net worth families and shareholders of privately held businesses. Darren guided clients through many of the complex personal and corporate issues faced by high net worth families and business owners by developing strategies for wealth preservation and tax minimization, the transfer of wealth to the next generation, and estate and succession planning.
Darren, together with your primary RBC advisor, helps you explore succession, tax, retirement and estate planning issues you face as a high net worth client. Darren specializes in tax and estate planning for business owners and high net worth families.
Darren is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and has completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course, the Corporate Reorganization Course and the Tax Planning for the Owner Manager Course. Darren is a TEP designated member of STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.
Darren is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
As a Senior Trust Advisor, Phylicia Rye serves clients throughout the Eastern Greater Vancouver and North Vancouver Island areas. Her focus on providing estate and trust advice and solutions to high net worth families has garnered her a strong reputation among her peers and is well known within the estate and trust industry for her ability to deal with complex issues.
Phylicia graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts (Economics). She also holds both the Personal Financial Planner (PFP) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations, and the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation. She has over 24 years of industry experience and has leveraged the necessary technical and business development skills to provide clients with the right solutions for their unique circumstances.

Whether it is helping someone to settle an estate, establishing a trust to ensure the successful transfer of family assets, or arranging to assist with the administration and responsibilities for a Power of Attorney, Phylicia can help.
With 15 years of experience within the financial services industry, earning designations regularly, Scott brings the expertise required to provide specialized advice that will optimize the benefits to you and your employees. Working directly with you, your HR department or your payroll personnel, Scott will build a tailored solution that meets the goals and objectives of your organization as well as the needs of your employees. Once Scott understands your specific requirements to customize your company’s Group Savings program solution, he will support and guide you through the development and implementation process.
As a Regional Vice-President on the Indigenous Wealth team located in Calgary, Alberta, Brittanee manages a variety of relationships with Indigenous clients throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. She is responsible for the administration of a wide range of Indigenous Trusts, including providing ongoing reporting, training and support to clients at the community level.
Brittanee graduated from the University of Calgary in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Indigenous Studies. In 2011, she obtained a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Calgary, which included a placement at the UBC First Nation Legal Clinic operating out of the Vancouver Downtown Eastside, serving the marginalized Indigenous population in the area. She is a member of the Law Society, and of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Brittanee is a former international athlete representing Canada in the sport of freestyle wrestling. Her achievements include being a 2014 Commonwealth Games Silver Medalist, a World Championship Medalist, World SportAccord Champion, and World University Champion, and a two-time Olympic Alternate for Canada. Brittanee has proudly represented Canada around the globe for over 10 years, including attending the 2008 Beijing Games as a training partner for Team Canada. As a University of Calgary Varsity Athlete, Brittanee was a National Champion, and was named the University of Calgary Female Athlete of the year in 2006.
Raised in the small remote community of Watson Lake, Yukon, Brittanee is a member of the Wolf Clan of the Kaska Dena Nation (Liard First Nation). She serves as a volunteer board member for the Dena Kayeh Institute, and for the National Aboriginal Trust Officers Association (NATOA).
