Nick began his career with RBC Royal Bank in Calgary, Alberta, in 2004. While working full-time, he completed his Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation and was promoted as an accredited Financial Planner with RBC in 2007. A firm believer in continued education, Nick earned his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in finance in 2003. He went on to achieve his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2010 and, most recently, passed the Level 1 examination of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program in 2013.

“The combination of active investment management with a ‘big picture’ approach to wealth management is the route to success,” says Nick. “I believe in having an up-to-date financial plan, a portfolio that holds quality companies, and an investment strategy that engages a strict sell discipline. Julie holds a Business Commerce degree with a major in Marketing from the University of Calgary and has successfully completed the Chartered Investment Manager Designation, Certified Financial Planning Designation and the Wealth Management Associate Training Program.  

As an Associate Wealth Advisor, Julie is dedicated to servicing our clients and ensuring that we continue to meet our high standards of exceptional client service. 

She works closely with Nick dealing with portfolio management and trading and also oversees the wealth management process of our business.  This includes scheduling and following up on Financial planning, estate and tax planning and insurance meetings.

In 2007, Julie and her husband moved to Kelowna and now they have two children that keep them both busy.  In her spare time, Julie enjoys reading, travelling and spending time with her young family.

Tanis Hornhardt, BA

Tanis holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from the University of Victoria. Tanis began her financial services career at RBC Royal Bank in 2004, later joining RBC Dominion Securities in 2006.

Tanis  has worked in many areas of the branch, developing an impressive knowledge base of the investment services business, which benefits client portfolio administration and helps the team deliver exceptional client service. In 2007, Tanis became a Licensed Associate after successfully completing the Canadian Securities Course and Conducts and Practices Handbook course. In December 2018 Tanis completed her Wealth Management Essentials (WME) where she became licensed as a Registered Representative.

Tanis is responsible for our clients’ day-to-day trading and portfolio needs. She handles any inquiries promptly and efficiently, ensuring a high level of personalized service.

Tanis and her husband Luke, have two young sons Ryder and Kolten. They enjoy family time outdoors, including skiing in the winter, and weekends on Shuswap Lake in the summer. In her spare time Tanis enjoys softball, snowboarding and reading.
