Maureen, now into her third decade with RBC Dominion Securities, offers a wealth of experience as a Portfolio Manager and Investment Advisor. She brings a business-like approach to a task that is too often emotionally driven. Maureen credits her success to building trust and confidence through consistency, and nurturing an environment of mutual respect between her and her clients.
Committed to lifelong learning, Maureen is a graduate of Ottawa University, with an Economics degree, and since joining RBC Dominion Securities in 1996, has obtained the Canadian Investment Manager designation and become a licensed insurance representative. Maureen was appointed as a Vice President of RBC Dominion Securities, a designation based on educational requirements, years of experience and quality of business, in 2009.
Maureen and her husband Sean were born and raised in Ottawa and are committed to giving back to their community. Maureen is a former instructor of a “Fundamentals of Investing” course taught through Algonquin College and the Ottawa-Carleton continuing education program. More recently, Maureen has delivered Financial Literacy workshops for women in need through Dress for Success.
Maureen has participated on many non-profit boards, including Dress for Success, The Canadian Tulip Festival, and The Ottawa Symphony Orchestra. Charitable giving is an important objective at a local, national and international level.
