Good afternoon,
Green sprouts showed up this week in Prince George – another 6-month winter is behind us, along with the early fight against that costly, invisible foe.
Markets regained some momentum this week, up 3-4% percent in North America despite a red Friday. Specifically, Amazon was sharply down (7.6%) today, after CEO Jeff Bazos told shareholders to “take a seat” while he focuses on the task at hand above this quarter’s profits. My guess is this gesture will pay off, but we’ll see. It’s been a strong 60 days for the stock.
Two more bits of financial insight for this afternoon. First this RBC Economics brief on the newly-appointed Govenor of the suddenly-way-bigger Bank of Canada. (The outgoing gov has been busy!).
