Susan Kopas brings over 30 years of financial services experience and expertise to her role, including 15 years as a Private Banker. Originally from New York, Susan has called Toronto her home since 1989, specializing in wealth management for U.S. Citizens residing in Canada.
Susan acts as her clients’ dedicated CFO to draft financial plans covering all aspects of wealth management. This includes, but is not limited to, portfolio creation, retirement planning, business succession, will and estate planning, legacy creation and intergenerational wealth transfer.
To ensure total synchronicity and accountability, Susan has built a team of internal and external specialists that are an elite group of experts dedicated to delivering the best solutions to her clients.
A believer in ongoing professional education, Susan has earned several professional designations. These include Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM), and the Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation from the Financial Standards Council.
Susan completed her Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designation – which focuses on the complexities of family enterprise and optimal succession planning – at The Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.
Susan’s formal education includes a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Adelphi in New York and an MBA from The University of Western Ontario Ivey School of Business. She is an active member of the Financial Planners Standards Council and the Institute of Family Advisors.
Susan's dedication, commitment to excellence and business practices have been recognized by her promotion to Vice-President at RBC Dominion Securities. In addition, she is the recipient of the distinguished Executive's Council award in 2019 and the Director's Council award in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
