As a Vice-President and licensed Portfolio Manager, Kevin has worked as an Investment Advisor with RBC Dominion Securities since 1993. Kevin brings his experience and in-depth planning approach to each client to create customized investment solutions and strategies for high net-worth individuals and their families.
Kevin was born and raised in Vancouver, attending the University of British Columbia, where he earned his BA (Economics). While playing professional football with the B.C. Lions (1980 to 1989), Kevin returned to U.B.C. and completed his Masters of Business Administration (Finance). Kevin also gained valuable industry experience during his football career working for Pemberton Securities as well as a compliance officer for the Vancouver Stock Exchange for 2 years.
Kevin has continued to further his education while working at RBC DS, obtaining both his Canadian Investment Management (CIM) and his Portfolio Manager (PM) designations. These credentials allow Kevin to be a member of a select group of investment advisors that are able to offer discretionary portfolio management services for their clients. To obtain these designations, investment advisors must complete rigorous academic courses plus have extensive experience managing substantial client investment assets over many years.
Kevin has been a regular past guest on CKNW's Money Talks with Michael Campbell as well as a frequent guest presenter at his annual World Outlook Conferences. Over the years, he has also written several investment articles for various financial publications, including the Vancouver Sun newspaper.
Kevin is married and has 4 children and makes his home in North Vancouver. As a former professional athlete, Kevin continues to stay active hiking, biking and playing the occasional squash game.
