Among the many uncertainties associated with COVID-19 the ability of the global economy to recover ranks highly. The interruption of global growth was unprecedented and the snapback unexpectedly strong as government programs and central bank stimulus provided a jolt to activity. What remains unclear is whether sufficient support can be maintained until there is a vaccine that eradicates or, at least, contains the spread of the virus.
