Having begun working in the financial services industry in 1979, Ken has over 30 years worth of extensive financial advisory experience. For the last 6 years, has been named one of the top 50 of the firm’s prestigious Executive Council. Membership in this elite group recognizes Ken’s commitment and success in helping clients build and preserve their wealth.
Prior to joining RBC DS in 2001, Ken played a notable role at Merrill Lynch. As Senior Vice President, he was responsible for managing the Markham branch as well as for managing the wealth of his own clients. At RBC DS, Ken’s respected team of advisors has helped clients to maximize wealth, reduce risk and ensure their financial resources are working efficiently towards achieving their goals.
Ken graduated with a Bachelors of Commerce from the renowned University of Western Ontario. His international outlook is reflected in his education, having also been schooled in Hong Kong and Australia.
Given Ken’s ample wealth of knowledge regarding financial and investing matters, Ken is frequently invited to share his insights as a guest speaker on a Toronto business radio show and on Hong Kong business television.
Ken is known as a prominent member of the Chinese community both locally and internationally. An active supporter of alumni, charity and church affairs, Ken serves/served on the Board of Governors of a distinguished private school in Toronto. He is also a past president of the St. Joseph’s College (Hong Kong) alumni association.
Sammy’s extensive experience in the financial services industry dates back to 1980. Sammy has over 20 years of Canadian financial services experience, complemented by 10 years of financial services experience in Hong Kong. A crucial and long-standing member of the Tsang team, he worked with Merrill Lynch and in 2001, joined RBC Dominion Securities. As part of Ken’s team, he is responsible for account proposals, projections, reviews and re-balancing. Sammy’s client responsiveness, operational efficiency and all-around trade execution on behalf of clients has consistently been lauded by clients as one of the team’s key strengths.
Sammy was schooled in Hong Kong and has advanced studies in Accounting. He has also completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Derivatives Fundamental Course (DFC).
Business Owner Specialist, High Net Worth Planning Services LL.B. TEP
Prior to joining RBC, Robyn acquired her expertise in estates, trusts and succession planning in both private practice and with a major trust company, practicing law in Toronto for 8 years with an emphasis on trusts, estates, succession, planning for incapacity and charities law, and as a will and estate consultant for a well-known Canadian trust company. In 2001, Robyn joined RBC, assisting clients with their overall tax and estate planning, and in 2011, assumed her present position, specializing solely in assisting business owners with their succession, tax, retirement and estate planning.
Robyn obtained her law degree from Osgoode Hall in 1991, and she was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1993. She has completed her in-depth tax courses, levels 1 and 2, as well as the Owner-Manager Course, with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and co-authored “Drafting Wills in Ontario: A Lawyer’s Practical Guide”. She is an active member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
As your Business Owner Specialist, Robyn will work closely with your advisor to identify strategies and solutions that are customized to meet your personal and business planning objectives. Tax, business risk, succession, and retirement strategies, some that are particular to the business owner/manager, will be identified, which you would then discuss with your lawyer and accountant.
