Prior to joining RBC, Mark spent over 14 years in the Private Company Services tax group of a Big 4 accounting firm in Toronto. Acting as a trusted business advisor for High Net Worth families, Mark was responsible for the creation and implementation of effective strategies for wealth preservation and accumulation in the context of tax, estate and succession planning for owner-managers of private companies, senior executives of public companies and professional athletes.
Mark is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, and a Trust and Estate Practitioner. He has completed the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Advance Certificate in Family Business Advising, all three levels of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course, as well as the Advanced Tax Issues for the Owner-Managed Business Course and the Corporate Reorganizations Course.

As a Financial Planning Specialist, Steven works with Karen in preparing and presenting comprehensive and customized financial planning and tax solutions.
During his time as a tax and financial practitioner with several professional service firms, Steven specialized in Canadian, U.S. and cross-border personal income taxation. He has professional experience with the RBC Tax Advisory Group and RBC Dexia, where he provided tax advice to various business units within RBC.
Steven completed his Bachelor of Business Administration at YorkUniversity in 1989 and subsequently completed the CICA In-Depth Tax course. He has also achieved the advanced designations of Chartered Accountant (CA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Connie Freitas, BA, LLB Will & Estate Consultant
Connie will meet with you to review your will and powers of attorney and also discuss structuring the succession of their estate in an efficient and tax-effective manner.
Prior to joining RBC, Connie advised her clients on a broad range of business and personal needs, from purchases and sales of businesses, to wills and estate planning and corporate reorganizations.
Connie obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 1989 and a Bachelor of Laws degree from OsgoodeHallLawSchool in 1992. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1994.
