Jason Fong, B.Comm., CPA, CA, CFP

Jason is a Chartered Accountant (CA). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and has completed all three levels of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accounts’ In-Depth Tax Course.
Coming from one of the major global accounting firms, Jason brings a broad range of experience to his role as a Financial Planning Specialist. In his previous role, his work included tax minimization through appropriate tax planning (corporate and personal) and business restructuring. Jason’s client base included high-net-worth individuals, private companies, trusts and partnerships.
As a Financial Planning Specialist, Jason’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting your Compass Financial Plan and to identify and assess any related financial, tax and retirement planning concerns you might have.
As a Private Banker with RBC Wealth Management, Jeffrey (Jeff) Mill and his team bring over a decade of experience in financial services by providing tailored and comprehensive wealth management and financing strategies to high-net-worth business owners, executives, professionals and their families.
Based in Red Deer, Jeff works with a select number of clients in Red Deer and the Central Alberta area to address their often-complex banking, credit and wealth management needs by providing tailored seamless banking and financial solutions. Jeff and his team excel at providing the highest level of customer satisfaction and contact at all times.
When necessary, he can access specialists from across RBC in order to work collaboratively to provide a complete range of complementary services, from investment management to estate and legacy planning, and from domestic and international trust services to sophisticated credit and leverage strategies to support individual short and long term goals.
Jeff’s financial services career spans 15 years, and has included roles in personal banking and business banking, where he worked with diversified businesses to provide both lending and financial planning advice and counsel.
Jeff and his family moved to Red Deer in 2016 where they currently reside. His holds his designations as a Certified Financial Planner and Personal Financial Planner, as well as a Honour’s Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University. In his life outside of the office, he enjoys golf and hiking with his family.
As a Premier Banking Advisor for the Calgary area, Jacky works as a single point of contact, providing banking and credit solutions for select clients of Wealth Management Canada and their families. He partners with Investment Advisors and Counsellors across the Region, and provides personalized service and tailored advice, to efficiently manage their day-to-day banking needs.
Jacky's formative years were spent in Britain. After graduating there, he moved to Hong Kong where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics & Marketing. Later, he immigrated to Alberta, Canada, and acquired a Diploma in Financial Services from the Bow Valley College in Calgary. His global education, and experience at RBC over the past few years, have equipped him well for the Premier Banking Advisor role.
Jacky has since settled in Calgary, AB, and gives back to the community through volunteering activities with the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Organization, and tutoring at various High Schools in the area. He is also fluent in Cantonese. His hobbies include hiking in the Summer; playing soccer; reading and travelling.

Avideh Parent, LL.B, TEP
Vice President and Will & Estate Consultant, Family Office Services, RBC Wealth Management
Avideh Parent is an experienced lawyer with a strong commitment to educating people on the importance of estate planning. Avideh is a frequent presenter on Wills and Estates for organizations such as the Legal Education Society of Alberta, the City of Edmonton, Next Step Continuing Education, and the Edmonton Community Foundation. Avideh also has been featured on Global TV, Shaw TV, and various financial education websites.
Avideh received her undergraduate degree from Carleton University and went to Law School at the University of Alberta. In 2001 she was called to the Alberta Bar and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta. Avideh holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, granted through the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Prior to joining RBC in 2012, she devoted her law practice to Wills, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration.
Avideh is also very active in the Latin dance community, and enjoys travelling the world to perform and compete with her husband in salsa dance competitions.
Avideh has been a member of the following organizations:

- Elder Law Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association;
- Edmonton Estate Planning Council;
- Oliver Centre Board of Directors.
Bryn Bezaire graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.A. in 2002 and with a Bachelor of Laws in 2005. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2006.
Early in her career Bryn briefly practiced family law, but for the 14 years prior to joining RBC, she practiced exclusively in the areas of Wills, estate planning, incapacity planning, estate probate, estate administration, and trusts. Her practice included advising on high net worth estates, cross border estates, and tax matters relating to estate planning, as well as making various court applications including passing of accounts, validation and rectification, and Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship matters. The majority of her Wills and estates practice took place at a boutique Wills and estates law firm and later at a mid-sized full service law firm.
Bryn has spoken at many public and private seminars on the importance of proper estate planning, including planning for incapacity and succession. For many years she was a regular speaker during Edmonton Wills Week, sponsored by the Edmonton Community Foundation.
