With health risks and financial concerns on the minds of people across the country, there is no shortage of challenges to face in the global pandemic. However, 1 in 8 Canadian households are also struggling to feed their families – a number that is on the rise due to COVID-19. No family should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from, much less during such uncertain and trying times.

As part of our commitment to helping our communities prosper, we’ve partnered with Meals on Wheels to help ensure fresh food delivery is available to vulnerable individuals, as well as those who are self-isolating due to the pandemic. The organization’s vital contributions are particularly valuable for groups such as seniors, people with physical disabilities and individuals suffering from illnesses, all of whom need our collective support now more than ever.

As Canada’s leading wealth management firm, we at RBC Wealth Management are proud to support organizations like Meals on Wheels to help provide Canadians with healthy, fresh and perishable food. In addition to our partnership with Meals on Wheels, RBC Wealth Management will also be providing Canada Food Banks with a $150,000 donation, on top of the RBC Foundation’s gift of $500,000.

There is no shortage of challenges for us to face at this time, but we know we are stronger together. It is our sincere hope that these contributions will help improve the health and well-being of Canadians across the country and strengthen our communities, to allow us to emerge more connected and well-supported than before.
