Criterion Capital Group offers a special level of discretionary wealth management designed to free you from the day to day details of managing your wealth.
It is called Private Investment Management. With Private Investment Management, you get a completely customized portfolio designed by your dedicated Portfolio Manager.
Based on agreed guidelines and objectives developed through careful personal discussion, your portfolio, once built, is subject to regular one‐on‐one reviews and analysis. It is adjusted and rebalanced according to market conditions and your changing needs.
The Framework for Success
Private Investment Management is built on a foundation of trust and confidence. To ensure that we always act in your best interests, your Portfolio Manager must follow a meticulous six-step process that balances your desire for freedom with your expectation for excellence.
1. Creating Your Investment Policy Statement (IPS)
Your Portfolio Manager works with you to develop an investment policy statement, a written document that takes into account your unique needs, investing time horizon, tolerance for risk and more. Considering all these factors, your Portfolio Manager will recommend an ideal asset-allocation model for your portfolio.
2. Building Your Portfolio
Based on your asset allocation model, your Portfolio Manager—in consultation with senior economists, portfolio strategists and research analysts from various parts of RBC Financial Group will select your investments.
3. Managing Your Portfolio
Your Portfolio Manager will make day to day investment decisions on your behalf to respond to and anticipate the changing market and economic landscape, adjusting content within the guidelines established in your IPS.
4. Third party Review & Monitoring
An independent risk management group reviews your portfolio on a quarterly basis to ensure it meets the high performance standards set out in your IPS.
5. Adjusting Your Investment Strategy
Your Portfolio Manager will also meet with you on a regular basis to review your portfolio and get an update on your personal and financial situation.
6. Keeping You Informed of Your Progress
You will receive a monthly account statement that details the activity in your portfolio and provides the current market value of all your positions.
