Jason Nelson, CFP, DMS, PFP, FCSI

Financial Planning Consultant

Jason Nelson grew up in Markham, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1997 with a BSSc (Political Science), and moved to downtown Toronto in 1998 to begin his financial career with Royal Trust as an Account Manager in the Wealth Management Group. In 2000 his department was merged into RBC Investments, Financial Planning, where he would become a Financial Planner.

In 2005, Jason joined RBC Dominion Securities as a Financial Planner where he provided financial planning and advice to clients of downtown area branches. In 2010 he was named the Financial Planning Consultant for the flagship Royal Bank Plaza branch.

Jason was accredited as a Financial Planner in 2001, and holds both the Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP) from the Financial Planning Standards Council, and the Personal Financial Planner designation (PFP) from the Institute of Canadian Bankers. In addition to financial planning credentials, Jason also holds a Derivatives Market Specialist designation (DMS) from the Canadian Securities Institute. In 2010, Jason was named a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).

Jasons primary role at RBC Dominion Securities is to work with advisors in preparing comprehensive financial plans, and ensure that their clients receive professional financial planning information, and a professional experience.
 

Kelly Rivard, LL.B, CFP, TEP

Vice President, Will & Estate Consultant

Kelly received her law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1993 and was called to the bar in 1995. She practised in the areas of litigation, family law and estate planning at a law firm until joining a major trust company in 1996, where she worked in a variety of roles involving estate administration and planning. Kelly joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2003.

Kelly received her Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation in 1998 and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) as well as the Law Society of Upper Canada. She has recently completed Parts I and II of the CICA in-depth tax course.

Kellys significant practical experience in the estate planning and administration field, coupled with her financial planning expertise, allows her to offer guidance on both the tax and personal implications of your estate plan.
 

Barrington Grey, B.A., CFP., CLU

Vice President, Estate Planning Specialist

After four years with a leading life insurer, Barrington joined RBC in 1993 to help RBC advisors introduce their clients to a new concept to build and protect their wealth: tax-exempt insurance. Since then, clients, along with their RBC advisors and tax accountants, have come to rely on Barringtons specialized knowledge and advice as a recognized specialist on insurance-based wealth enhancement and protection.

Barrington has a degree in Political Science and is also an accredited Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). In addition, Barrington is a member of Advocis, Canadas largest membership of professional financial advisors. As a nationally regarded expert on using insurance as a wealth management technique, Barrington is regularly called upon as a featured speaker at national conferences held by leading life insurers and affiliated industry associations.
 

Sylvie Audet, CFP, RHU

Living Benefits Specialist

Sylvie is a Living Benefits Specialist and protecting your assets is her main goal. Sylvie began her career in the insurance industry in 2000 and has worked with a number of major insurance providers. She has focused on asset protection and her goal is to protect your financial security by including long term care insurance, critical illness insurance and disability insurance in her wealth management approach. She works closely with Investment Advisors in the proposal of these solutions for your situation.

Sylvie has a Bachelors degree (Business) from the Universit de Moncton and has earned her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designations. She is an active member of ADVOCIS (Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Professionals) and is pursuing the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation.
 

Susannah Musselman, CA, CMA, CFO

Vice President, Financial Planning Specialist

Susannah is a Chartered Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Planner. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo, specializing in Chartered Accountancy.

Prior to joining RBC, Susannah provided comprehensive financial planning guidance and advice to executives, business owners, professionals and high net worth families. Susannah uses a holistic approach to helping clients address all areas of their financial planning.

Susannahs role is to work with and support your Investment Advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans.
 

Prashant Patel, ASA, CFP, TEP

Vice President, High Net Worth Planning Services

Prashant has assisted high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families with tax, estate and retirement issues since 1992. His guidance supports clients in their relationships with their external professional advisors, with whom he frequently interacts.

His expertise includes tax and estate planning for executives, business owners, retirees, sports professionals and individuals with U.S. issues. He also assists individuals facing significant financial events (sale of business, financial windfall, retirement, job loss, moving to Canada, leaving Canada, etc.

Prior to joining RBC in 1999, Prashant honed his expertise by working as a Canadian and U.S. tax specialist for two of the big four accounting firms in downtown Toronto.

Prashant is a Certified Financial Planner, Associate of the Society of Actuaries and member of both the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and Canadian Tax Foundation.

 

Kevin Bridglal, PFS

Kevin Bridglal is a Senior Account Manager and has been with the Royal Bank of Canada for over two years where he has gained extensive experience in working with our high valued clients in managing their financial needs.  Some of the facilities that Kevin specializes in are mortgages, secured and unsecured lines of credit, capital and carry loans, small business and everyday banking solutions.  Kevin graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts where he majored in Biochemistry and English and minored in Classical Studies. As a member of the Senior Account Manager team, Kevin has an ongoing relationship with RBC Dominion Securities and their clients
