Courtney Anderson's career in financial services spans over 20 years and includes a broad range of experience in private, personal and commercial banking.
Prior to joining Private Banking, he held leadership positions with personal and commercial banking businesses, working closely with bankers and relationship managers in the branch. More recently he served as Regional Vice President for Private Banking's Ontario North East region, where he mentored a team of Private Bankers.
Courtney now focuses exclusively on serving high net worth clients in Ottawa, Brockville, Kingston, Smiths Falls, Perth, and the surrounding areas, providing a personalized, multifaceted wealth management experience for professionals, business owners and their families. In addition, he has special expertise in serving medical and technology-based businesses.
Having worked closely with numerous family businesses to address their needs for tax planning, he is well-versed in succession planning strategies to help clients prepare for retirement and the sale of their business. Planning solutions often include the use of holding corporations and family trusts to help maintain and preserve family wealth.
While building his practice, Courtney has developed a focus around risk mitigation for high net worth families. “My clients work very hard for their wealth and do not want to have to earn it again.” Ensuring the risk and return characteristics of investment properties, multi-jurisdictional vacation properties, and market holdings are understood and planned for is critical to wealth preservation.
Courtney holds the Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation, a respected mark of achievement for wealth management professionals.
Outside of the office, he is the Vice President of Girls Programs for Ottawa South Basketball Association and is often involved in coaching soccer and basketball teams in the community.
