We hear statistics every day. Sports, new, business.....it drones on and on. Every once in a while though, I get caught off guard on a stat or two that I thought I just knew to be second nature. Sure, everyone has a Facebook account, or an Instagram account, or a LinkdIn account right? Everyone has a mobile phone right......but when you hear the numbers....it really takes hold.

 

1- 79% of people who carry a mobile will have it with them for all but 2 hours of the "waking" day

2- 1/4 of the Global population has a Facebook account

3- There are enough iphones out there to account for 1/7 of the global population

4- 3.77 billion people are internet users in one form or another

5- 2.79 billion people have a presence on social media
