Mary is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). She has received her Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie and a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University. Mary has completed and tutored the CICA In-Depth Tax Course.
Prior to joining RBC in 2008, Mary was employed as a Senior Manager, Tax where she specialized in tax planning for individuals and their owner-managed entities. During her career Mary has been employed by two of the large international public accounting firms and has a broad range of experience in mergers and acquisitions, business succession, estate and trust planning and overall tax minimization.
Mary’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans for clients.
Paul DeJager, CLU, CHS, B.Sc., MBA, CFP®

Paul has extensive experience in the financial services industry, having begun his career in 1998. Paul has obtained: a bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) from Dalhousie University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from St. Mary’s University. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified Health Specialist (CHS). He is also a member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU) and Advocis.
Christy Sandles, LL.B, TEP

Christy obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (Anthropology) from the University of Waterloo in 2006 and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University in 2009. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2010.
Following her call to the Bar, Christy was in private practice with a large regional firm and practiced primarily in the areas of Wills, estates and trust law and litigation. Beginning in 2013, she worked exclusively in the area of Will and estate planning with a major trust company. Christy joined RBC Wealth Management in 2018.
Christy is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
Lynne Simmons brings extensive experience to her role as Private Banker, in which she delivers personalized, discrete banking, credit and financial counsel to select clients throughout Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John's Newfoundland.
As a dedicated wealth planner, Ms. Simmons creates sophisticated banking packages and a full suite of personalized credit solutions for her clients and their families. She then draws on a team of RBC experts who assist with investments, commercial banking, and domestic and international trust products, to create a uniquely personalized banking experience for her clients.
To ensure personalized service and attention to detail, Ms. Simmons works with a limited number of clients and their families. This focused approach, allows her to spend more time simplifying her clients' lives, working when necessary with their other professional advisors to deliver comprehensive, integrated financial solutions.
Ms. Simmons is a Personal Financial Planner (PFP), enabling her to provide seamless advice and financial planning to her clients. She holds a diploma in Management Development from Mount Saint Vincent University and achieved professional certification as a Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA). As a FEA., she advises on concerns specific to family business, ranging from ongoing financial management to succession planning for the next stage of the business lifecycle-and all matters in between.
Ms. Simmons is an active member of the Halifax community, and helps with the Great Big Dig, a major fundraiser in support of the IWK Health Centre. In her spare time, she enjoys running and setting new goals.
As a Private Banker, Jeremy Moore provides over seven years of expert financial counsel to high-net-worth businesses, families and organizations in the Halifax area.
Mr. Moore acts as a dedicated relationship manager for his clients and their families, who value his discretion and responsiveness, as well as his experience addressing a broad range of wealth, retirement and credit planning needs through all stages of their financial lives. Prior to joining Private Banking, Mr. Moore was an Investment and Retirement Planner with RBC Royal Bank, where he provided comprehensive financial solutions to his clients, collaborating whenever needed to ensure synergy with their investment and tax planning needs. To ensure that his clients receive a high level of financial planning expertise, he has also earned his designation as Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
As part of a tailored suite of Private Banking services, Mr. Moore designs sophisticated banking, personalized short- and long-term wealth plans and flexible credit packages for his clients. Through RBC, he provides a complete range of services – including commercial banking, estate planning, and domestic and international trusts – to meet each client's specific needs.
Mr. Moore is fluent in English and French. Originally from Charlottetown, he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Prince Edward Island, where he was president of the UPEI Business Society. Outside of the office he spends much of his time coaching and mentoring minor hockey and rugby players.
