Christy obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (Anthropology) from the University of Waterloo in 2006 and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University in 2009. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2010.
Following her call to the Bar, Christy was in private practice with a large regional firm and practiced primarily in the areas of Wills, estates and trust law and litigation. Beginning in 2013, she worked exclusively in the area of will and estate planning with a major trust company. Christy joined RBC Wealth Management in 2018.
Christy is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.
Jason is an integral member of the team, helping to create, preserve and increase wealth by incorporating insurance-based solutions within comprehensive financial plans.
Specializing in estate planning, Jason applies innovative and tax-efficient solutions to a variety of wealth management issues and is skilled at simplifying their complexities. His individualized approach to personal and corporate insurance planning helps clients achieve their wealth management objectives and reach their estate and financial goals.
Beginning his financial services career in 1996, Jason joined RBC in 2006. Beforehand, he spent 10 years with a leading life insurer, focused on providing insurance solutions expertise to advisors and their teams.
Mona-Lisa is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) and has a Bachelor in Business Administration (Major in Accounting) from Université de Moncton. Mona-Lisa has completed the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course.
Prior to joining RBC, Mona-Lisa was employed as a Tax Manager at one of the world’s leading accounting firms. She specialized in providing personal, corporate, and estate planning services to high-net-worth individuals and their owner-managed entities.
Mona-Lisa believes that planning is critical to helping people meet their financial goals. Mona-Lisa’s role is to work with and support your advisor in preparing and presenting comprehensive Compass Financial Plans.
As a Will and Estate Advisor for the Atlantic Region, Colin provides estate settlement strategies and solutions that centre on understanding and addressing the unique needs of each client. He works collaboratively with clients and their trusted professionals to help craft a tailored estate plan that meets their particular needs. Through this process, Colin helps families protect their legacy and facilitates its smooth transfer to the next generation.
Colin’s technical expertise complements his skill set in managing the complexities of family dynamics. He brings a compassionate, expert perspective that is welcomed by families who may be struggling with the difficult decisions that often accompany estate planning, whether it’s protecting an heir with a disability, providing for children from a previous union, minimizing family conflict, or dealing with beneficiaries or assets that are situated outside of Canada.
A graduate of the University of Ottawa with a juris doctor degree, Colin worked in private practice at one of Nova Scotia’s largest regional firms and served clients across Atlantic Canada. He is currently a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society.

Cathy has more than 20 years of industry experience. She has deep experience working with high-net-worth families throughout the local community to deliver tailored planning and advice.
Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, Kim spent over 15 years working in the charitable sector, engaging with families across North America to help them develop personalized strategies that aligned with their charitable giving goals. This experience provided Kim countless opportunities to build deep and meaningful relationships with many of Canada’s leading philanthropists in order to help them realize their charitable giving goals and engage in bespoke engagement opportunities.
With this unique perspective on the intersection of charitable gift planning and major gifts fundraising, Kim works alongside the wider RBC Wealth Management Services professionals to provide strategic advice and guidance to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients in developing their charitable giving and legacy plans as part of their broader wealth management planning.
Based in Toronto, Kim is a member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners, holds the Master Financial Advisor – Philanthropy certification and an undergraduate degree from American University in International Studies with a focus on International Development in Africa
