Mathew’s journey in wealth management began in 2007, driven by a keen interest in finance and a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Today, he is a trusted partner to his clients, and along with partner Dan is recognized within the top 3% of Investment Advisors at RBC. Mathew manages family wealth through critical financial milestones, from selling a business to the growth of your investments and ensuring the tax-efficient transfer of legacies to the next generation.
Leading one of the firm's most innovative practices, Mathew's expertise is rooted in his unwavering commitment to excellence, looking ahead, and a seamless client experience. He is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and registered insurance representative, and continually expands his professional acumen through ongoing education and the cultivation of strategic partnerships.
By partnering with the industry-leading resources of RBC and external specialists, Mathew provides a complete family office experience to his clients, including investment management, business owner planning, private banking, estate and tax consulting, and insurance. Mathew is fortunate to give back to his community, acting as a volunteer and donor for charitable organizations such as Sunnybrook Hospital and the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
Mathew and his wife, Jennifer, are the proud parents of their daughter Ava. They enjoy travelling, fitness, skiing, and spending time with family.
Associate Advisor
Gail feels immense gratitude for the trust and loyalty of our clients, and she earns it each and every day. “The client is my treasure,” says Gail, whose background in retail sales taught her the meaning of service excellence early on in her career.
As an associate advisor, Gail acts as an extension of Dan, offering his clients expert investing advice and timely resolutions to problems, big or small. She also plays a pivotal role in serving our clients’ most complex wealth planning needs. Having worked alongside Dan for more than 30 years, Gail is a seasoned professional, who has seen industry and market changes, gaining invaluable insights that enable her to act as a backbone to our entire operation, offering guidance and support to everyone on the team.

Associate Wealth Advisor
Armela joined Grant Private Wealth of RBC Dominion Securities in 2019, bringing with her four years of wealth management and client service experience.
As an associate advisor, Armela is a key support in the management of Mathew’s client portfolios, helping to ensure they are balanced and on target. Armela contributes through market analysis, equity research, portfolio modelling, and portfolio monitoring.
A core aspect of Armela’s work is maintaining a clear and in-depth view of clients’ financial pictures, understanding their needs, and offering advice that is right for them. To that end, Armela develops and presents clients with personalized financial projections and strategies through RBC’s proprietary tool, which offers a virtual look forward at their financial goals, priorities, and solutions. She also coordinates and participates in meetings with partners from our extended RBC network.

Investment Associate
Lucas joined Grant Private Wealth in 2022, following 8 years of experience co-leading project management, operations, and directly overseeing the implementation of RBC WM’s proprietary trading platform. In the role of Investment Associate at Grant Private Wealth, Lucas works closely with Dan and Mathew in client portfolio management, business development, and operational efficiency. Lucas enjoys applying his experience in problem solving to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
Administrative Assistant
Riquelle joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2018, and has since leveraged her background in retail sales management to consistently provide top-level service to clients.
One of two dedicated administrators on our team, Riquelle is responsible for preparing complex documentation and compliance materials, processing account transfer requests, and handling tax package inquiries and distribution. She is also a first point of contact for new clients, assisting with requirements such as accessing their WM Online accounts for the first time to offer a smooth experience.
Riquelle takes pride in staying on the pulse of ever-changing compliance and documentation regulations, which enables her to deliver a seamless client experience.
Jenny joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2021. With more than a decade of experience in RBC retail branch roles and retail sales, she is known for her acute attention to detail and elevated client service approach.
One of two dedicated administrators on our team, Jenny helps ensure all client matters are organized and on-track. In addition to executing account transfers and requests, Jenny assists with the administration of insurance materials and helps our clients execute the documentation of Wills and estate materials in a timely manner.
Jenny’s work is foundational to our practice, and she enjoys contributing critical pieces of the puzzle toward a client’s financial picture.
