This past Monday evening Melissa got to have some fun and go and visit with Team RBC, our Doyle Wealth Management sponsored team, in the Swansea Hockey League. This wonderful team consists of co-ed players, aged 11 and 12, in the Atom Division.
Monday night temperatures were low but spirits were high at the outdoor Rennie Park rink where all league games are played.
Melissa got to join the team as volunteer and coach Benoit Gervais talked pre-game strategy and got the team pumped up to play against their opponent the Snappers.
After that the team flew out onto the practice ice beside the rink, ready to play and with no hesitation (considering it was minus temperatures with a wind chill). They truly embodied the Canadian hockey spirit!
Team RBC went on to win and beat the Snappers 5-3!!! It was truly a wonderful evening and so great to be out taking part in Etobicoke community activities.
