'Twas Christmas eve, markets at rest,
Strategizing portfolios, aiming for the best.
Stockings hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that dividends soon would be there.
Investors nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of compounding danced in their heads.
With budgets well-planned and debts on the wane,
They dreamed of a prosperous financial gain.
The spreadsheet tabulated, expenses in line,
Balancing risks, the market's design.
Away to the window, I checked on the Dow,
Hoping for stability, for profits to grow.
When out on the market there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to my terminal, I flew like a flash,
To analyze trends and avoid any crash.
The moon on the crest of the economic tide,
Gave luster to assets, a sense of pride.
When, what to my analytical eyes should appear,
But a robust portfolio, bringing holiday cheer.
With diversification and a well-planned scheme,
I knew in a moment it was a financial dream.
More rapid than eagles, returns they came,
And I whistled and shouted and called them by name:
"Now, Dividends! Now, Capital Gains! On, Compound Interest! Break financial chains!
To the top of the market, let prosperity rise! Now invest away, with discerning eyes!"
As numbers climbed higher, reaching new height, I wished all my clients a joyous goodnight.
