We are excited to announce that Bird Elinesky Schuett Private Wealth Management of RBC Dominion Securities has partnered with the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington (CFGW) as the Presenting Sponsor of the Around the World Gala for the next three years! The Around the World Gala is CFGW’s largest annual celebration and fundraiser.
“As our wealth management business continues to grow, my business partner Jay Elinesky and I feel that it is important to give back to the community that has been so good to us,” said Tom Schuett, vice-president and portfolio manager. “We look forward to working closely with the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington to help make this a community where every child and youth has the opportunity to participate, learn and grow to reach their full potential.”
The Around the World Gala is featuring Monaco this year in a black tie affair! Guests will be entertained like they are in a James Bond movie, complete with a casino. Guests will also enjoy a delicious dinner, exciting raffle, contest and auction, plus fantastic entertainment! Monaco Royale takes place on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Delta Hotels Guelph Conference Centre.
As more and more families turn to the Children’s Foundation for support, the crucial importance of fundraising also increases. This year, the Gala Committee hopes to raise $170,000 so that they can continue to walk hand-in-hand with local families in order to empower them and their children with meaningful opportunities that can break the cycle of poverty and create lasting change.
All funds raised at the Around the World Gala go to support the Foundations four core programs: Adopt-A-Family, Food & Friends, Free to Grow and Scholarships. From filling their bellies with healthy food so they can focus on learning in school, to acquiring new skills like driver’s training, to inspiring hope during the holidays, to launching their post-secondary studies through scholarships, the community’s support is turning their dreams into reality.
