On June 12, 2019, we had the pleasure of hosting an economic update and informative presentation on the world of cybercrime at Cutten Fields.

 

Eric Lascelles, Chief Economist at RBC Global Asset Management, offered insight into the effects that other economies have on our own. Eric spoke to the group about green shoots versus protectionism, providing an overview of the macro economy, current themes, the positive and negative risks, and the markets overall.

 

Mark McCarthy, Senior Director of Corporate Investigative Services at RBC Royal Bank, provided valuable insight into the world of cybercrime. From phishing to spearing, romance scams to business email compromise, Mark helped us to understand what we need to do to protect ourselves online.
