This week we answer the question that so many are asking, What's up with inflation?, in the report shared below. We’ve also included a new podcast from RBC Global Asset Management, A look at the labour market, with Eric Lascelles.

In addition to our economic content, we’ve highlighted the importance of selecting the right executor in two new links shared below. The first link will take you to a recent article in The Star, featuring Leanne Kaufman, President and CEO, Royal Trust, Corporate executors can help avoid burdening loved ones with winding up your estate. The second is the final video in the new series, Uncomplicated advice for executors, The Wealthy Barber’s advice to Bryan and Sarah Baeumler on being named an executor of a Will.

As always, we end our weekly blog with a few good news stories from in and around our community.

What's up with inflation?

Illustration of arrows and dollar signs moving upwardsHigh inflation means different things to different generations. To the earliest baby boomers, the term conjures memories of the double-digit increases of the mid-70s to early-80s and sky-high mortgage rates. Many people name friends or family members as executors. Leanne Kaufman sat down with The Canadian Press to discuss why clients should consider naming a corporate executor.
