David has worked in the investment industry continuously for over 30 years. He joined RBC Dominion Securities in 2000 and was Branch Manager in Sudbury from 2002 to 2012 until he decided to focus full time on his wealth management practice. David’s clients are primarily business owners and he assists them with all aspects of wealth management, including business succession planning. His clients also include professionals and retirees and he assists them with management of their investments, as well as income tax and estate planning.
Born and raised in Sudbury, David earned a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo and an MBA degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University. He obtained his Chartered Accountant designation (now CPA) and was elected a Fellow of the Institute, earning the FCA designation. David has also earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), the Chartered Strategic Wealth Professional (CSWP) and the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designations.
David believes in giving back to the community. A former board member of the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, he has served as Chair of the Board as well as of several committees and task forces. David has served as President and longstanding member of the Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers, as a member of the Pension Committee of Laurentian University, and as President and board member of the Sudbury & District Chartered Accountants Association.
