The world's largest asset manager is shifting its investment policy to put issues of sustainability at the forefront.

Excerpt from Larry Fink letter to CEOs

" In the near future – and sooner than most anticipate – there will be a significant reallocation of capital." BlackRock CEO, Larry Fink, is crystal clear on his company's intention of not just incorporating sustainability but making it the central focus of their investment approach moving forward.

In his annual letter to the CEOs of the world's largest companies, Mr. Fink focuses largely on climate change and the role that companies and investors have to play in combating it. His message is a powerful one and serves as not just a call to action for his fellow CEO's but also a motivation - if they want any of the $7 trillion BlackRock manages to be invested in their companies they need to show that sustainability is at the heart of how they operate.

Being strong believers in Responsible Investing, we are pretty excited about this development. The full letter is available here and I can be reached directly here if you would like talk one on one about the role of sustainability in your portfolio.
