My primary focus is to help our clients achieve peace of mind with their financial, investment and philanthropic goals, by managing their family wealth as carefully as we do our own.

Career and Education Highlights:

  • Servicing high-net-worth families since 1993.
  • Attained the Discretionary Portfolio Manager, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Investment Manager (CIM) designations.
  • Attained my CPA, CA designation in 1992.
  • Graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting.
  • Served on several boards for both charitable and private foundations.
  • Regarded as one of the leading wealth management advisors in Saskatchewan and have been a member of RBC’s prestigious executive council since 2002. This is in recognition of the high standards with which we serve our clients, our ethics and integrity, and the quality of the investment management advice.

Personal Highlights:

  • Family: I feel very lucky for my wife, Shanna, our two children Olivia and Mackay, and our dog Coco (the baby of our family).
  • Proud Dad:  Both kids are on the honor roll and are very active in school and sports. Olivia is team captain for basketball and volleyball, and head of the school student council. Mackay finds time to play club basketball, volleyball, golf, and swim with me in the mornings. We are very proud of all their accomplishments, and even more proud of the people they have become.
  • Outside of work:  I love coaching both kids in sports, spending family time together (three of us LOVE the ocean, Shanna not so much) and keeping fit.
  • What people might not know:  I am a sci-fi enthusiast and still think the original Star Wars was a life-changing event for a young kid who saw it 7 times in 1977.  I also used to water ski barefoot in my younger days, but I’m too chicken to do it now!

My focus is ensuring that we deliver on all of our commitments by coordinating clients’ overall experience and tracking long-term financial planning strategies.

Career and Education Highlights:

  • Started my career in the financial industry in 1991, and joined Curtis at RBC Dominion Securities in 1997.
  • Graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Psychology.
  • Completed the Canadian Securities, Conduct & Practices, and Certified Investment Manager designation.

Personal Highlights:

  • Family:  My spouse Ian and I have two very entertaining pets, our dog Meissa named for a star in the Orion constellation, and our cat Oliver, who is a huge snuggle bug.
  • Outside of work:  I keep busy with yoga, fitness classes, gardening, and attending live music. I am currently serving on the Ness Creek Cultural and Recreation Society board.  We both love being outside as much as possible and enjoy hiking, camping and backpacking, all with Meissa in tow.  Our next goal is to teach her manners for canoeing.
  • Favorite destination:  We love to travel and take tropical holidays to break up the winter. Our favorite destination is Jamaica.
  • What people might not know:  In 2002 I completed a marathon in Dublin, Ireland as part of a fundraiser for the Arthritis Society.  This was a very challenging and rewarding experience, not to mention painful! Running is not something I’ve kept up with.

I am often the first point of contact, fielding the majority of our incoming calls and requests. My focus is ensuring that clients consistently receive quality, friendly and prompt service.

Career and Education Highlights:

  • I joined Curtis’ team on a part-time basis in August 2015, and transitioned to full-time in the fall of 2016.
  • Graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Finance
  • Completed the Canadian Securities and Conduct & Practices courses

Personal Highlights:

  • Family:  My husband Brad and I have three young children, 2 girls and a boy, all born in different seasons; Zuri in winter, Khalea in spring and Laydin in fall, which may explain their completely different personalities.
  • Outside of Work:  We all enjoy swimming, biking and family camping trips.  I am kept busy with their school activities, home renovation projects, and annual fundraising for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
  • Favorite Sport:  My mom started me in skating at age 4 and I went on to competitive synchronized skating as a teenager. The team that I was on was ranked 5th in Canada.
  • What people might not know:  I was known as Tina until university, then people started calling me by my given name Christine.  I always know how long I have known someone, by how they address me.  I was also a huge collector as a child. At first it was my little ponies, then trolls (the plastic naked dolls with colorful hair, I wish I was kidding) and it continued onto Barbie dolls, anything tweety bird, beads; you name it I collected it.

  • Background: I was born and raised on a beef cattle farm just outside of Saskatoon. I’ve always enjoyed being outside, especially when I get to play with my dogs; Molly and Flash.
  • Outside of work: I love spending time practicing yoga as well as playing hockey, which I have played, since I was 6.
  • Favourite destination: I’ve been to England and France, I hope to go back to Europe one day and travel to even more beautiful places.
  • What people might not know: I got my nickname “Roo” from the baby kangaroo in Winnie the Pooh, because I am the youngest in the family. Not to mention, kangaroo rhymes with Kelsey-Roo.
