Time to review your estate plan, adapting to the current interest rate environment, the worst named book of all time and what happens to your online accounts and assets after you are gone?

When we are introduced to new clients and discuss their estate plans, the most common response is "my wishes are very simple". What people don't necessarily understand is that either because of their wealth, the estate laws in their province, or family dynamics, it's almost NEVER simple. RBC Wealth Management reviews why many Canadians are reluctant to review their estate planning.

One of the benefits of our Private Investment Management (PIM) program is our ability to rapidly position portfolios to respond to the dynamic economic environment. RBC's Dan Chornous talks about the changing interest rate environment in this update; our portfolios have already been positioned to react to these changes, and are constantly being adjusted to manage the risk and reward dynamic erer present in the markets.

Probably one of the worst/mis-named books of all time, "How to Win Friends and Influence People", is a classic - and rightly so. Reading it as a teenager literally changed the way I thought about life. Shane Parrish of the Farnam Street Blog has a great summary of the book here.

What happens to your online assets and accounts after you are gone? RBC Wealth Management tackles this thorny question with a 17-minute podcast (and transcript of the podcast) here.
