Trevor C. Cooper brings over 25 years of experience in business to Cooper Wealth Management of RBC Dominion Securities.
Born and raised in St. Catharines, Trevor earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from Brock University before pursuing his career path. Following a similar path like his father, Frank Cooper, he pursued a career in wealth management in Hamilton, Ontario. In 2001, he and his business partner Walter Harmidarow formed a partnership to formally create Cooper Wealth Management of RBC Dominion Securities.
Today, Trevor's role within the group is primarily managing relationships and business development, as he coordinates the affairs of entrepreneurs, family businesses and high-net-worth individuals. As an Associate Portfolio Manager, he is licensed to provide discretionary investment management services, allowing for a highly disciplined discretionary investment process in the establishment and management of his clients' portfolios.
Committed to ongoing education in current and emerging wealth management trends, he has also achieved the advanced designation of Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI©) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM©), both of which allow him to provide a first-class layer of expertise to his clients.
Trevor is extremely active in his community. He is the former President of the St. Catharines Club, and a current member of the Gyro International Club of St. Catharines. He has sat on the Board of Directors for the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation for 10 years, and was President for six years, and has helped in the It's Our Time Campaign to raise $40 million for the new hospital site in St. Catharines. His other advocacy work has included the Alzheimer Society of Niagara, Gillian's Place, the YMCA, Strong Kids Program, the United Way and various other capital campaigns in the Region.
Trevor and his wife Christine have two children, Benjamin and Rachel, and call St. Catharines home.
