Carol started her career at RBC Dominion Securities in 1989. Since then, she has received many awards and has been recognized for her investment knowledge and outstanding client service. In 1991, Carol earned the prestigious designation of President of the President’s Club. Carol was promoted to Vice President of RBC in 1994. In 1998, Carol earned the distinction of being selected one of the Top Five Investment Advisors in Ontario by the Investment Dealers Association of Canada. Carol is currently a Director of RBC Dominion Securities, and is also a registered Wealth Advisor.
Carol is among the select group of advisors who are licensed to conduct discretionary portfolio management for clients. Private Investment Management (PIM), is a service that is greatly appreciated by those who either do not have the time, or the expertise, to make their own investment decisions.
Carol diligently focuses on staying current with her learning to keep ahead of the trends in the financial industry. In addition to having passed the Canadian Securities Course (Honours) Carol also holds the designations of Certified Investment Manager (CIM), Chartered Financial Planner (CFP), Level II Insurance Licence, Portfolio Manager, Wealth Advisor and has her Options License (Honours).
Community service is important to Carol. She is Past President of the Orillia Kiwanis Club and Past Lieutenant-Governor of the District. Carol was instrumental in the creation of the Kiwanis Children's Safety Village.
She was Chair of the Leisure World Family Council for Senior Care for over four years, and was involved for ten years with the Community Foundation of Orillia and Area, including a term as Chair. She was one of the original trained volunteers with the North Simcoe Victim Crisis and Assistance Referral Service, which she continues to support.
Carol is passionate about her horses and Western Reining - a competitive horse riding discipline. She served four years as President of the Ontario Reining Horse Association and seven years as a board member. She continues to sit on the Board of Directors of Reining Canada.
Carol and her husband, Brian, enjoy spending time with their grandchildren at their ranch and in the summer months travelling to horse competitions. They also like to golf and travel, and have visited many areas of the world together.
