A sold out crowd filled The Eydt Wealth Advisory Group offices in Edgemont Village to hear from three leading cycling experts on how best to train, ride and race with power metrics!

Doug Giles from Shimano, discussed the evolution of power meter hardware as well as the latest technology. Lewis Morrison, Sports Scientist from Peak Centre for Human Performance, taught us how the body uses different energy systems and muscle fibers in different ride/race situations and how best to train them. Laura Brown, RBC Olympian and Pro Road Cyclist, shared her tips on how to use power to improve your performance on the bike.

Eric is one of the longest Steed Race Team members and Ride Club Leader volunteers. This was the inaugural event of our team's Steed Cycles sponsorship. The goal of the events is to enhance the experience of the Vancouver cycling community. We believe people should enjoy their money. To achieve this you must stay healthy, have passions that keep your heart beating and have a strong sense of community. Cycling is a great way to achieve them all!

Thanks to all who attended. A special thanks goes to Steve Savage (Steed Cycles), Laura Brown (RBC Olympian), Lewis Morrison (Peak Centre for Human Performance), Doug Giles (Shimano), Paul Killeen (photographer), Cate Wagstaffe (Beere Brewery) and Kelsey Letham (Franklin Templeton Investments) for supporting this initiative.
