Happy Friday again from Brenda Miller Wealth Management.

There markets this week presented some opportunities to rebalance portfolios with well timed buys and sells.

This week's Current Account talks about how Pfizer will soon ask Health Canada to authorize its COVID-19 Vaccine for children aged 5-11, as well as Russian plans to increase gas exports to Europe by 15%, and the latest winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature.

As we mentioned in our September 24th update, Brenda will be out of the office until October 29th for a mixture of business and pleasure. Should you require anything, please contact Taylor at 905-434-4450 or taylor.miller@rbc.com or Joel at 905-434-3924 or joel.yelle@rbc.com. They will be in regular contact with Brenda during her trip.

The word of the week this week is Thanksgiving, which means "an annual national holiday marked by religious observances and a traditional meal including turkey." Thanksgiving is also a celebration of harvest. Thanksgiving is a statutory holiday in most of Canada, but it is optional in the Atlantic provinces, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Federally regulated businesses, including the banking sectors, also observe it nationally, so our offices will be closed on Monday.

We hope you are able to enjoy some time with your family and loved ones over the holiday.

Have a great weekend, and Happy Thanksgiving,

Brenda, Taylor, and Joel
