Happy Friday from Brenda Miller Family Wealth!

We extend a Happy International Women’s Day to all the women out there fighting for gender equality, reproductive rights, and to stop violence and abuse against women. Brenda and Betina attended “The Power of You” event that was hosted by the Whitby Chamber of Commerce where they acknowledged the importance of awareness and visibility of these everyday struggles. Tracy Schmitt, a Canadian athlete, motivational speaker, and quadruple amputee, attended the event and provided a powerful, inspiring, and emotional speech on her life story and the struggles she has gone through to get where she has. Don’t make excuses, take action.  

Donald Trump waived the 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico until April 2. The U.S. President granted most imports from both countries a reprieve in the latest shift in a constantly changing trade policy that keeps investors and allies unsure of what comes next. Ottawa postponed its second wave of retaliatory tariffs on $125 billion of U.S. imports until then and said they are continuing to work for the removal of all tariffs. U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick predicted the move on all goods that comply with USMCA.
