Drawing upon more than three decades of financial industry experience, Bob has successfully guided investors through market cycles, evolving world politics, and personal challenges and milestones. He builds lasting, meaningful relationships and helps clients achieve their goals with peace of mind.
As Senior Portfolio Manager, Bob provides an elite level of discretionary investment management for corporations and families, including financial and tax planning, focused on controlling risk and achieving stability during uncertain and volatile times.
His unparalleled leadership, integrity, and dedication to clients have earned Bob the Fellow of the CSI (FCSI) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute, one of the highest honours in the financial services industry.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Management Information Systems from the University of Ottawa and graduated from the Industrial Engineering Program at Algonquin College.
Bob’s commitment to helping people extends beyond the office. He has served as a board member for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation and chair of their finance and audit committees. Passionate about skiing, he is a past National Capital Outaouais Ski Team chair. He also served as a course crew member for the women’s alpine ski teams at FIS Alpine Ski World Cup racing events and the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Portfolio Manager
Jean’s passion for numbers and desire to help people led her to a rewarding career in financial services. Since joining RBC Dominion Securities in 1994, she has steadily risen from a summer student to Investment Advisor. Over the past three decades, Jean has built a reputation for her expertise in portfolio construction, investment management, and wealth management for high-net-worth individuals and trusts.
Her clients and colleagues value her extensive experience, deep financial knowledge, and commitment to delivering exceptional client service. A dedicated lifelong learner, Jean holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation. She is also licensed in options and insurance.
Outside of her professional life, Jean enjoys spending time with her spouse and son, who is currently studying finance. An avid golfer, she also stays active snowboarding, hiking, and mountain biking. Jean is committed to giving back to her community as a board member for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation and serves on its finance committee. She also fundraises for disaster relief efforts in Ottawa and Hopetown, Abaco, Bahamas.
Associate
Zac’s financial career began in 2017 as a summer student with RBC Royal Bank, working in Commercial Banking. He soon transitioned to RBC Dominion Securities and joined the Spicer & Beiersdorfer Private Wealth team as an Associate in 2019. His role focuses on trading, planning, and account management.
Zac’s experience and expertise help ensure sound advice, expert execution, and peace of mind for clients who need solutions for broad and complex wealth management needs. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Carleton University and a Certificate in Computers and Management Information Systems from Athabasca University.
In his free time, Zac is a passionate hockey and football fan. He’s always trying to improve his golf game and loves spending time at the cottage on the Ottawa River.
Backed by solid customer service experience, including almost two years in Branch Operations, Alyx is committed to delivering the highest possible level of service to our clients. Colleagues and clients alike appreciate her patience, sense of urgency, and genuine level of care.
In her current role, Alyx draws on her considerable organizational skills to take care of account administration, documentation, client requests, and transactions. She enjoys helping clients with day-to-day needs and working toward big moments (such as buying a home). Alyx is licensed as an Investment Representative and has completed the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) and Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
Away from work, Alyx enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring local Ottawa events, antiquing, hiking, backcountry camping, and crafting.
